I came across Curly’s Creations while I was browsing Etsy for some unique entertainment for children. I’d definitely say that these Rainbow Crayon Names qualify as unique! And great news… the shop owner, Lauren, has agreed to participate in a giveaway where the winner will receive a customized crayon name!

Lauren specializes in creating premium party favors, memory boxes, decorations and baked goods from her home in New Jersey. I was lucky enough to receive some customized crayon letters with my son’s initials. I must admit, when I took them out of the mailing envelope, I DID NOT want to open the package to use them because they are so stinkin’ cute! If it were up to me they would sit up on his bookshelf, front and center, to be on display. BUT… Bennett spotted them and was not going to let me get away with tucking them out of his reach.

So we got out some paper, I set him up at his little table, and I let him go to town! One of my favorite things about these crayons is that they are easier for his little hands to grasp than normal crayons because they are wider, therefore they did not slip out of his hands as easily. And no cheap crayon wax here… the colors are brightly pigmented!

Now, remember that he is only 20 months old, and he has the attention span to match. That being said, he actually sat there for quite a while. Why? I was unable to get an interview with him, but I can guess. I think he was fascinated by the shapes, and he did not get frustrated because these crayons don’t slip out of his hands.

Once his mind eventually wandered back to race cars and teddy bears, I was able to put the adorable crayons back into the plastic bag and up on the shelf! They held their shapes and are ready for the next use.

Here’s a little bit about Lauren and her shop, Curly’s Creations, that I find interesting. First, she is a certified Art and Elementary school teacher in the state of New Jersey. After the birth of her second child, she decided to stay home to spend more time with them, and is now expecting her third child in the Fall! So be sure to congratulate her when you head over to her Facebook page. While she’s always been crafty and artistic, she started creating for others after her son’s gumball themed first birthday when she was approached by friends, family and neighbors to make customized items. A little over a year later, she still enjoys creating one of a kind goodies.

I strongly suggest that you visit her Etsy page, as well as her Facebook page. I was BLOWN AWAY by the items on her Facebook page. As a fellow crafter, I can truly appreciate the time and precision that goes into each one of her items. I can’t even imagine how badly her hand must hurt from squeezing frosting onto those perfect cookies (click here to see what I’m talking about).

Alright, here’s the best part. One lucky reader will get the opportunity to have their very own Rainbow Crayon Name! But first, a few rules (the boring stuff):

  • Open to entrants 18 and over, within the United States
