California Kitchenware Silicone Cupcake Molds Review

Just a heads up… this one is going to be SUPER short, as I just found out that we have to move. Boo!! So I’ll need to budget my time very closely to be able to review the products being sent to me, throw my son’s birthday party, and then pack up the house and move.

Back on task… I’ve been lucky enough to test out these wonderful silicone cupcake molds from California Kitchenware. They were convenient to order from Amazon, and they arrived looking exactly as promised.

I had a hankering for blueberry muffins not too long ago, and decided it was the perfect occasion to try these out. The instructions state that these can be used with or without muffin tins, so they are perfect for anyone who either doesn’t have any muffin tins, or someone who doesn’t have enough for a large batch. I used them with a tin, popped them into the indents, poured the batter in and put them into the oven. No need to grease, and no digging through cabinets to find those paper cups that you swear you have but can’t find.

Once the muffins were cooked, I pulled them out, let them cool and picked one to eat. Ok, ok, I picked several to eat. The muffin came out of the silicone mold with no problems, and it came out all in one piece. And clean up was a breeze. They claim to be top rack dishwasher safe, but I found it to be easiest to just wash and wipe them clean while I was already washing the muffin tin (and the other dishes that needed attention).

Overall, this is a wonderful time saving idea that is also very green.
